The Beginning of the End

Before you read on, please watch this short video, which will help explain the context of this essay. Our Lady of Fatima foretold that before her Immaculate Heart would prevail, entire nations would vanish from the earth. I am 100% convinced the United States of America is one of those nations. The above map should not be taken too seriously. It’s just my own imagination. Actually, I’m being optimistic here, hoping that states can maintain their current borders, and some can group together with others in a way that maintains cohesive nations of reasonable size. In truth, I fear the future reality may be far worse than this. California may be totally balkanized into 10 tiny city-states or more. Areas of the Northeast may also suffer similar balkanization. The map I created here is an optimistic best-case-scenario in my estimation. We can only hope things turn out this well.

As the recommended video explains, the trend of the post-modern world is nationalism and secession, along either civic or ethnic lines. My map above presupposes civic nations, which is why I’m being optimistic, as the much more likely scenario (should the political Left maintain influence and control) is ethnic-nationalism, where countries are carved out of the nation largely along ethno-centric lines based on race. This is guaranteed to happen, so long as the political Left continues to embrace identity politics such as BLM and La Raza. The political Right, for the most part, has embraced the civic nationalism proposed by President Donald J. Trump, which defines itself along civil pride and the American propositional state, where race, religion and culture don’t matter. What matters under civic nationalism is language, borders and rule of law. I tend to see civic nationalism as more congruent with my Catholic Christian Faith, allowing diverse people to live together under a propositional understanding of the state. For example; in my ideal little world, I would like to see a union of states built on civic nationalism and Catholic integralism. What would that look like? It would present itself as a nation of people, diverse in race, ethnicity, culture and religion, but united under the premise of a Catholic confessional state, where people are free to live and believe as they wish, but the laws will be based on Catholic morality, the language will be English, and the borders will be defined and protected. My ideal form of nationalism/integralism is not fantasy. It already exists in Costa Rica, Malta, Monaco and Lichtenstein. If these countries can do it, we can too. That’s my dream. Take it for whatever it’s worth to you.

If America were divided along ethnic-nationalist lines, it would look something like this. As I said above, I oppose ethnic-nationalism entirely and think civic-nationalism is a better option.

The disintegration of the United States is well underway now. I believe the presidency of Donald J. Trump only served to slow its advance, and help Americans (like myself) get a clear focus of what civic nationalism looks like, in comparison to the ethnic-nationalism of the political Left. What are the signs of America’s disintegration? We’re seeing a lot of it on the news now, as cities begin to crumble in the face of BLM and Antifa. Riots are now becoming the “new normal” in America’s big cities, with the threat of those riots moving out into the suburbs. Once that happens, the violence will only escalate, as suburbanites tend to be better armed, willing to fight and have more to lose. What begins as urban riots could well escalate into suburban warfare, with people shooting on both sides. If not quelled quickly, the whole thing could escalate into an unofficial civil war.

In the wake of the war against police, waged by the mainstream media and big tech, and encouraged by some unscrupulous members of city, state and federal government, the ability to keep and maintain police forces in big cities is going to collapse. Once this happens, we can expect more crime and urban warfare, as gangs begin to take control of large swaths of urban areas, and in some cases, entire cities! When gang warlords start being treated like ambassadors from other countries, we will now the end has come.

Of course, the situation on the southern border of the United States only further demonstrates the disintegration of America. One of the last signs before the fall of ancient Rome was the empire’s inability to control its northern border with Germania. The problem snowballed over decades, eventually resulting in the Sack of Rome in AD 410. So it is with the United States. The US has not been able to control its southern border with Mexico for about 40 years now, and the problem continues to get worse. We had a brief interlude under President Trump where illegal border crossings were reduced to about 400/day, but alas that is over, and foreigners are now illegally crossing our southern border at a rate of about 6,000/day (source: Daily Signal, March 3, 2021). This can’t go on much longer. While I think it’s more likely that Washington DC will be sacked by our own people (BLM & Antifa), the nation itself is destabilized with so many people entering the union illegally and without documentation. It furthers the trend of national disintegration.

The Capitol Riot of January 6, 2021 in Washington DC, will not go down in history the way the current media narrative is covering it. It will be marked as a last ditch attempt (failed and gone horribly wrong) of patriotic Americans desperately trying to regain control of a federal government spiraling into lawlessness and anarchy. The lawless government of an unelected president is now upon us, as is the tyranny of a congress ready to purge all parliamentary procedures to ram through an agenda that enshrines Marxism and anti-European racism. The “packing” of the Supreme Court, if successful, will serve as a sign heralding the end of the “rule of law” in the United States, making the Supreme Court a totally partisan body that rubber-stamps the Democrat legislative agenda. In the face of this, many red states are now rebelling, following the example set by blue states over nullification of federal drug laws. If Colorado can nullify all federal drug laws on marijuana use, then Missouri can nullify all federal gun laws as well. This is actually happening in multiple red states across the union, effectively diminishing the power and reach of the federal government into these states, further marking the disintegration of the United States.

Then there is the #Texit, a Texas Secession Movement, modeled after the #Brexit which successfully pealed the United Kingdom (UK) away from the European Union (EU) in 2016 through 2020, re-establishing Britain as an independent and sovereign nation again. #Texit seeks to accomplish the same thing, and while the political Left may be laughing now, this movement is growing rapidly, as the recommended video suggests, in just a matter of years, it may reach a majority and perhaps a super-majority. Once this happens, Texas secession is inevitable. The only questions that remain are when? And how? While the movement itself is another example of American disintegration before our eyes, there is a deeper sign hidden within. I have spoken to hundreds of Americans about the #Texit, and many of them have told me that if Texas secedes from the United States, they will move to Texas immediately, before it takes effect, so they can be part of it. Since I only know a handful of people, as I’m just a small blogger, I suspect this trend is much bigger than my little circle of influence. It could be as many as hundreds of thousands of Americans willing to do something like this. It may even be millions! Stop and think about that for just a moment. If hundreds of thousands, maybe even millions, of Americans are already willing and eager to give up their American citizenship, for a chance at a better life in a renewed Republic of Texas, isn’t that another sign of American disintegration? These people are your “red-blooded” patriotic types, the kind that fly American flags on the back of their pickup trucks. If these types of Americans are willing to give it all up, for a new life as non-American Texans, what have we come to!? This is the epitome of disintegration! If the #Texit is successful, or even partially successful, other states will most certainly follow by starting their own secession movements.

All of these are just the social problems, which underscore the bigger political problems that nobody has talked about in a while. Those being the national debt and the national deficit, both of which are too high for the US to ever recover from. The best we can hope for is a gradual hyperinflation to deflate the debt down to a more manageable size, but that will come at the cost of American purchasing power, plunging millions into poverty and destroying the American middle class. As for the national deficit, that cannot be tackled without protectionist trading policies. While President Donald Trump set us in the right direction with that, it’s debatable if it will be enough to bring American companies home, as Democrats are already structuring new income-tax laws to counter it. We’ll see.

So the prognosis doesn’t look good for the United States. Is it possible the nation, and the union, could survive all this. Sure! If you believe in miracles, because that’s exactly what it will take. I believe in miracles, but I also believe in the sovereignty of God. So when it comes to miracles for the United States, I have to ask myself why he would do such a thing. I mean, what has America ever really done for him? He doesn’t need us. We’re not part of his master plan for humanity. America has just been “useful” to God, from time to time, such as in defeating the Nazis, Soviets and such. He could have done all that without us. What is America doing to serve God, or further his plans? Its kind of hard to answer that in a positive way when you consider the 40 to 50 million abortions we’ve allowed in our country, combined with euthanasia, fetal stem-cell research, along with a host of other immoral acts we not only tolerate, but promote, and export around the world. About the only thing America is good for, is getting food and the gospel out to the world. But the American government plays little role in the food, and no role at all in the gospel. Americans, for the most part, have abandoned Christ. Very few Americans have given HIS Catholic Church much consideration. Most American Christians believe in a “private Jesus” who wants a “private relationship” with us, which is the opposite of the Jesus we read about in the Bible who set up a public church, made a covenant with it (not individuals), and insisted that all of his followers be members of that Church. I don’t know if God really has any reason for why he would want to keep the United States around, but he does have plenty of reasons to let our own sins destroy us as a nation. This is why I’m inclined to believe that everything we are witnessing today, from the social disintegration to the political and economic dangers, indicate that God has already passed judgement on the United States. We have been weighed, found wanting, and now (so it seems) our days are numbered as a nation.

I know it’s hard for Americans to think this way. (Believe me, it took years of desperation and despair before I finally came to accept it myself.) We Americans tend to want to think of ourselves as invincible. As a nation, I don’t think we’ve ever really felt vulnerable, and by that I mean really vulnerable, since World War II. There are few alive today who remember that. Most of us, myself included, have never really had to deal with the true fear of annihilation. Granted, I grew up with the Cold War, but back then we knew that if the Soviets ever took us down, we would take them down with us, so it was a stalemate. All my elders, who remembered World War II, always told me the same thing. “If America ever falls now, it will fall from within.” Well, look around. Isn’t that exactly what’s happening?

Whenever a country falls, people tend to think it’s the end of the world. I know many Evangelicals who have said it to my face. “America won’t fall until the Rapture comes first, so none of us will ever have to see it.” That kind of spiritual arrogance is not helpful, and if you ask me, it’s a form of denial. If the United States collapses within our lifetime, and I think it will, then we have to ask the logical question: what comes next? I think the most reasonable and likely answer is something akin to the map of the United States at the top of this essay. The breakup of the United States, into multiple smaller countries and unions, doesn’t have to be a horrible thing. In fact, it’s whatever we make it out to be. Of course, where you live matters. Some places (like California for example) may not be so hospitable to Christian living. But there are huge swaths of land that are, and those could become their own countries. In fact, in such places life might actually be better than it is now! You never know. Anything is possible.

What can we do now to make things better after the fall and breakup of the United States? Well, regardless of whatever happens, the following recommendations are good no matter how it plays out…

  1. If you can get your family into a state that is more conservative (a red state) this would probably be the most ideal for raising a family and making a future. Where you live now matters, especially if a breakup happens later. You want to make sure you and your loved ones are on the right side of the borders, then proceed to recommendation 2. If you find yourself trapped behind the borders of a deep blue state, and there is no way out for you, then proceed to recommendation 2 and hope for the best.
  2. Go back to Church. What got us into this mess is when Americans decided they didn’t really need God in their lives anymore. So they stopped going to church entirely. That has to change if we don’t want to cycle to repeat itself. Find a good church and attend it, financially support it, and help it grow in size and influence any way you can.
  3. Only elect devout Christians to political office, especially city, county and state. If you can put a few Christians in federal office too, that’s great, but it’s just a token. The federal government is a slow-motion train-wreck in progress. It’s not going to be relevant much longer. The REAL seat of power is in the state governments, and this is extended into county and city governments. So focus on the state government like a laser beam, and get as many Christians in office there as possible. Do the same with county and city governments too. Tell others to do the same. We are no longer Republicans or Democrats. We’re just Christians, devout Christians who take the faith seriously, and we only vote for our own kind.

Once we do these things we just have to let the chips fall where they may. Whatever happens, happens. Some kind of breakup is coming, but we’ll just have to wait and see how it goes down. Remember, the future is what we make it to be. New American nations don’t necessarily have to be a scary thing. It is possible to not only preserve the lifestyle we are accustomed to, but we can even make it better, if we set our minds to it. Different isn’t always a bad thing. Sometimes different is not only necessary, but it can be good, and it can even improve our quality of life in ways we never foresaw. Imagine a country where the accumulation of wealth and material products is not the focus of life, but rather the amassing of freedom, independence and quality time with family and church. Imagine a country where you don’t need to buy that expensive SUV to commute to work and school, because work is your own business and your business is in your front office, while your kids can walk to a cooperative school just down the street. Of course, I’m not promising things here. What I’m doing is pointing out possibilities. It’s up to all of us to make such things happen. We don’t need Washington DC to do these things. In many cases, Washington DC has been holding us back. When historical things start to happen, history will go to those who are able to adapt, let go of their old ways, and think outside of the box. We need to be those people, and we can be. For the Apostle told us, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13) and Jesus Christ said “without Me you can do nothing” (John 15:5).

    2 Chronicles 7:14
if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

  2. Let God choose between Republicans and Democrats so that one may live in peace without the other, in Jesus name, Amen!

    1. Who are we to be so arrogant as to question God . God is not evil but humans are and it is that evil we bring upon ourselves it is his will be done not what we think should be done! We must listen to the Father thru the Son as He has told us ! When will listen before it is too late!
